Daniel Morrell Stackhouse (1866 - 1943)

STACKHOUSE Daniel Morrell

Superintendent, Open Hearth Department, Cambria Steel Company; born in Johnstown, Pa 1866; son of Powell Stackhouse and Lucy Roberts Stackhouse. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1887, receiving the degree of B.S., and received the degree of mining engineer from same institution, in 1888. He married at Philadelphia, in 1893, Katharine E Benkert, and they have four children: Rebecca, Powell, Daniel, and Katharine. Mr Stackhouse was an assistant to the superintendent, Blast Furnace Department, Cambria Steel Company, 1888-1890; assistant to superintendent, Metallurgical Department, 1890-1892; superintendent, Cambria Steel Company, Works Order Department, 1892-1897; superintendent, Open Hearth, 1897-1900; superintendent, Open Hearth Department, 1900-1908. He is a director of Johnstown Trust Company; and member of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion. In politics he is a Republican. Mr. Stackhouse is a member of Amicus Club, Physical Culture Club, Johnstown Country Club. Address 147 Fayette Street, Westmont Cambria Steel Company, Johnstown Pa.
